A show of original paintings by Betsy Jacks, "Embodiment" is a series of large-scale renderings depicting trees and tree-like beings that capture the essence of personal life experiences and hidden meanings. For 21 years, Betsy served as the Executive Director of The Thomas Cole Historic Site, and this collection reflects her deep observations of trees, inspired by their portrayal in Thomas Cole’s paintings and poetry. The exhibition is further brought to life through a series of activation events, offering the artist an opportunity to share her creative process while transforming the café gallery space into an interactive experience throughout April.
