East Durham, known as the “33rd County” and the heart of the Irish Alps, is ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in grand style! After a hugely successful revival last year, the Second Annual East Durham St. Patrick’s Day Parade promises to be even bigger and better.
Sunday, March 16, 2025
Parade starts at 1 PM (lineup by 12 PM)
Starts at MJQ Irish Cultural Centre | Ends at The Cross Roads at Five Furlongs
Honoring Our 2025 Grand Marshals:
Colleen McGrath Fenlon & Dermot Fenlon – Owners of McGrath’s Edgewood Falls, celebrating over 50 years of family legacy in East Durham.
Fr. Henry Reid will serve as Aide to the Grand Marshal, a lifelong friend of the McGrath family and a cherished part of the East Durham community.
Parking: Available at The Blackthorne, McGrath’s, The Flea Market, Our Lady of Knock Shrine, and the Weldon House – with free shuttle service to and from the parade route!
Arrive Early! Parade lineup starts at noon. Once the roads close, you won’t be able to pass through—don’t be late!
Parade Route: Marching proudly down Route 145, showcasing the rich Irish heritage of East Durham.
Join us as we celebrate Irish pride, heritage, and community spirit with a parade that honors the past while looking toward the future! As Colleen McGrath Fenlon beautifully put it:
“The parade is a tribute to our history and our future. Sharing this moment with Dermot and the entire community is incredibly meaningful.”
Don your best green attire, bring your family and friends, and let’s make this a St. Patrick’s Day to remember in East Durham, NY!
