A Writing Workshop with Elissa Schappell
The creative process is an ongoing act of discovery, driven by imagination rather than reason—by mystery and emotion, not logic or preconceived ideas. In these generative workshops, we’ll create original material through a variety of prompts and writing exercises designed to help you tap into your creativity, recognize the depth of your experiences, and bring them to the page.
Elissa Schappell is the author of two books of fiction and co-editor of two anthologies. She has taught in MFA Creative Writing programs at Columbia, NYU, and other institutions. A co-founder and former Editor-at-Large of Tin House magazine, she also served as a Senior Editor at The Paris Review.
$75 per class (sliding scale available)
