The Honey Locust Tree & Grounds at the Historic Thomas Cole Property

    • Sun, 04/27/2025
  • 218 Spring Street, Catskill, NY 12414

Join Cole Fellow Elizabeth on Sunday, April 27, 2025, for The Honey Locust Tree & Grounds at the Historic Property walking tour. This fascinating 45-minute tour will take you through the Main House and grounds, where Elizabeth will share her research on the history of the land and the people who stewarded it. Before it became Thomas Cole's home, Cedar Grove was a 100-acre farm, rich with pastures, orchards, and livestock. Elizabeth’s work connects her with the ecology of the Hudson Valley, and she’ll introduce you to the historic trees, gardens, and the people who lived and worked here.

The tour includes access to the Main House, grounds, and gardens, as well as the Storehouse, Cole Center, and gift shop. However, admission to the annual Sunday Salon Series and the Thomas Cole & Historic Household guided tours are sold separately. Please note that the 1846 New Studio is not included in this event.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for Thomas Cole Site members, and free for children (0-17). Advance tickets are recommended as tours often sell out. Check in 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time at the Cole Center; late arrivals may be accommodated in the next available time slot, though availability is not guaranteed. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Refunds are available up to 24 hours in advance.
