CCE Columbia and Greene is hosting an in-person watch party for livestock producers and farmers to attend a webinar on ticks. With tick populations rising across New York—and a new species adding to the concern—understanding the risks and prevention strategies is more important than ever.
Joellen Lampman, Community IPM Extension Support Specialist from the NYS Integrated Pest Management Program, will share insights on the impact of ticks and tick-borne diseases on livestock, ongoing research efforts, and practical steps to reduce risks for both animals and humans.
Attendees will receive a Don’t Get Ticked New York kit, which includes tick removal tools and identification cards.
