For over 9-generations, the Shinglekill Falls Bed & Breakfast has been a centerpiece and relaxing homestead for the Lamanec family. Now the Lamanec family welcomes you to experience the comfort, adventure, and relaxation that they have for over 200 years
The renovated Miller's house has three rooms all with private baths, and a multitude of shared spaces to enjoy. The cozy back deck, spacious kitchen, the front porch with rocking chairs, gazebo, viewing deck, a huge fire pit (yes, we always have s'more fixings), the amazing 32' waterfall, the gardens, the wooded paths, so many spots to relax and enjoy! The gourmet breakfast is an additional charge, but so yummy! Monday nights in the summer come buy your veggies and some great local bread, pick up an original gift and listen to some tunes while sipping on locally brewed cider or beer and have dinner from the food vendor of the week! The waterfall is semiprivate. So sorry, due to insurance, the falls are not open to the general public! Only paying guests can enjoy the beauty and serenity of this magical spot. The Grist Mill is a fun little antique shop that is filled with treasures. The Forge Building on the property is under repair and will soon be open as an artists space until further renovations can be done. The upper lawn has a 40 x 60 slab which fits a tent perfectly for your special event. Someday it will be a full pavilion. Keep your eyes out for that!!!
