The Rip Van Winkle Wine, Brew, and Beverage Festival brings together some of the best area artisans, brewers, distillers, vintners, and musicians to craft an authentic taste of the Catskills at Historic Catskill Point each year in early May.
A ticket to this event gets you an event-branded stemless wine glass for sampling beverages at brewery, distillery, winery, and other beverage vendor booths. Purchase your favorite bottled and canned beverages on site as well as specialty items from other guest vendors, including crafts, artisan-made goods, fresh-cut flowers, t-shirts, and cigars.
Grab lunch from one of the food trucks on-site and enjoy live music and picturesque views from Historic Catskill Point, which features an open-air cobblestone plaza, a waterfront park overlooking the Hudson River and Catskill Creek, floating docks and two restored 19th-century buildings. The event is held in an airy, 9,000-square-foot historic warehouse. Adjacent to the event in a historic, former freightmasters building is a maritime museum open at no cost to the public.
The Fortnightly Club of Catskill puts together this annual family-friendly event. Proceeds go back to the Catskill community to ensure that communal spaces can continue to be renovated for all to enjoy.
