Hunt all public lands in Greene County, as well as New York City Department of Environmental Protection lands, via access points in Palenville off of Route 23A, Round Top off of Winter Clove Road, and from several points along Route 23 in Windham.
Waterfowl are plentiful in the Catskill Park, with many of the region's lakes, ponds, and creeks – including the Hudson River – falling within the Atlantic Flyway. This migratory route makes for incredible duck and goose hunting. Waterfowl season begins in September and lasts through October in Greene County.
All first time hunters are required by the state to complete a 10-hour Hunter Education Course.
